Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery Subspecialty Examination

Certified ABD American Board Of Dermatology

The American Board of Dermatology recently announced its certification of Clarus Dermatology’s Medical Director, Neil A. Shah, MD, FAAD for passing the 2021 Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery Subspecialty Examination. Already a “Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology,” Dr. Shah’s status as an MDS specialist places him among the first dermatologists in the nation to achieve the certification.

“This reflects the quality of all of our dermatology professionals and staff at Clarus Dermatology,” responded Emily Behr, Clarus Dermatology’s Chief Operations Officer. “As the Mohs Surgeon for the Clarus Dermatology family of clinics, Dr. Shah’s distinction as one of the first to achieve certification in the MDS Subspecialty is consistent with the trust our patients place in Dr. Shah and the entire Clarus Dermatology team of professionals.”

Awarded for meeting the highest standards of knowledge and skill in Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery, the MDS Subspecialty is especially important to the hundreds of general practitioners and specialists, including dermatologists, who have referred Mohs Surgery cases to Clarus Dermatology. Combined with the Clarus Dermatology pledge for timely access to top care, Clarus Dermatology clinics across Minnesota continue to meet and exceed the expectations of patients and referring medical providers.
