NEIL A. SHAH, MD, FAAD
FOUNDER & MEDICAL DIRECTOR
Dr. Shah holds dual board-certifications in dermatology and micrographic dermatologic surgery. His clinical practice focus is skin cancer treatment, including Mohs surgery, and reconstructive surgery following skin cancer treatment. Dr. Shah founded Clarus Dermatology in 2012 with the goal of bringing timely, world-class, comprehensive dermatological care to patients
throughout Minnesota. Since that time, Clarus Dermatology has expanded from one clinic to six clinic sites throughout the Twin Cities metro area, as well as greater Minnesota.
As a member of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), a Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Society for Mohs Surgery, Dr. Shah remains involved in organized medicine having served as a past president of the Minnesota Dermatological Society and past president of Doctors for the Practice of Safe and Ethical Aesthetic Medicine.
Dr. Shah is a 2007 graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Shah completed his residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. with an internship in internal medicine. Before medical school, he graduated magna cum laude from Ursinus College with departmental honors in Biology. He is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, the Tri-Beta Biological Honor Society, and the Sigma Xi research honor society.
Outside of Clarus, Dr. Shah enjoys spending time with his wife, four children and dog, enjoying travel, cooking and skiing.
Abrielle Mumm, MSPAS, PA-C
Physician Assistant
Abrielle Mumm, MSPAS, PA-C, earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Northwestern College in Orange City, IA. Prior to PA school, Abbey received her Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from the University of Iowa. She is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and recently completed the SDPA Diplomate Fellowship Program.
Abbey completed two clinical rotations in dermatology which affirmed her long-standing passion and enthusiasm for all things dermatology-related. She looks forward to building relationships with her patients and providing individualized, patient-centered care. She strives to educate her patients and ensure they possess a thorough understanding of their conditions and treatment plans.
Outside of work, you can find Abbey spending time with her fiancé and their two golden retrievers. In her free time, she enjoys baking, golfing, and traveling.
Binh Vu, MPAS, PA-C
Physician Assistant
Binh Vu, MPAS, PA-C, earned her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant. Studies at Augsburg University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Before PA school, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences at the University of Minnesota and worked in a hospital laboratory for four years as a lab technologist.
Binh is drawn to dermatology because of its unique blend of medical, surgical, and cosmetic interventions to enhance patients’ well-being and self-confidence. With a keen interest in dermatology, she completed two clinical rotations in dermatology during her clinical year in PA school. She is also a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and has completed the SDPA Diplomate Fellowship Program. Her goal is to provide personalized, compassionate, and comprehensive dermatology care to her patients. She is committed to building trusting relationships with patients for the best dermatological outcomes.
Binh enjoys spending time with her husband and their cats outside of work. She loves practicing yoga, working on handy projects at home, gardening, and traveling (both nationally and internationally).
Megan Bell, MSPAS, PA-C
Physician Assistant
Megan Bell, MSPAS, PA-C, earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Des Moines University in Iowa. Prior to PA school, she earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from the College of Saint Benedict in Minnesota and worked as a clinical assistant in dermatology. She developed a passion for the specialty as she witnessed patients suffering from various dermatologic conditions achieve healthier skin, resulting in improved self-confidence and quality of life.
Megan is committed to providing patient-centered care and thorough patient education so that each individual feels knowledgeable, engaged, and empowered in their own health care and treatment decisions. She is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) and has completed the SDPA Diplomate Fellowship Program.
Outside of work, Megan enjoys spending time with her husband and family. In her free time, she loves hiking, pickleball, reading, and baking.
Nathan Jones, MPAS, PA-C
Physician Assistant
Nathan Jones, MPAS, PA-C, earned his Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Before PA school, he earned Bachelor’s of Science degrees in Biology and Health Science, and an Associate’s of Science degree in Chemistry from Presentation College in Aberdeen, SD.
While in PA school, Nathan was able to gain experience with dermatologists and cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgeons, which sparked his interest in general dermatology, surgical procedures, and cosmetic dermatology. Nathan enjoys educating patients on their skin concernsand developing an evidence-based treatment plan that works best for the patient’s life.
Originally from South Dakota, Nathan is looking forward to living in Minnesota with his wife, Mallori, and dog for the nice weather and many lake adventures. In their free time they enjoy reading, walking, golfing, watching all types of sports, cooking, and traveling.
Sydney Schwitters, MSPAS, PA-C
Physician Assistant
Sydney Schwitters, MSPAS, PA-C, earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa. Prior to pursuing her PA degree, she earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Health Sciences from the University of Northwestern – St. Paul. She is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and has completed the SDPA Diplomate Fellowship Program.
Sydney has a long-standing interest in dermatology which was affirmed through her dermatology rotation with Clarus Dermatology. She looks forward to returning to the Spicer area, which she considers home. An asset of her job is building relationships with her patients and educating them regarding their skin concerns. She strives to provide an evidence-based treatment plan while providing her patients with options to ensure patient-centered care.
Outside of Clarus, Sydney enjoys spending time with her family and friends. In her free time, she enjoys spending time at the lake, traveling, and all things sports.
Terra Menkosky, MMS, PA-C
Physician Assistant
Terra Menkosky, MMS, PA-C has been practicing as a physician assistant for the past five years. She received her Masters of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona in 2017. She began her medical career in Arizona where she practiced in pediatrics for 4 years. While working with youth, Terra found her passion for treating skin conditions in her patients and transitioned her practice to dermatology.
Terra enjoys treating all ages of patients to help them feel confident in their skin by managing a wide range of skin conditions. Terra seeks to develop a patient-provider relationship that includes shared decision making, and she takes pride in educating her patients regarding their skin concerns.
Terra is happy to be back in her home state of Minnesota where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Winona State University. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her young daughter, husband, and their dog. In her free time, Terra enjoys reading, baking, barre classes, and traveling.
